Our new addition!

Joel went and picked up our new puppy at 7am this morning. She was covered in pee and puke, so I had to give her a bath immediately. It is now almost 1pm and she is still sleeping.  Gavin was so excited when Joel brought her in he kept kissing her and smiling. I think he will be so happy when she starts playing with him. Now, if Joel and I could agree on a name! She is 8 weeks old.

Snow Day

Of course I stayed inside, because I HATE the cold! Gavin and Joel had fun though.

What is a productive day?

Yesterday I think I had a pretty productive day...
9:15am at Target buying diapers, Baylors christmas present, a bra ( which fits!!!), and misc.
10:15 Took Gavin to Run Jump N Play
11:55 Got to grandmas to clean her house..
2:00pm Made $70 for cleaning grandmas house
2:30 Cleaned entire kitchen
4:30 Made dinner for my parents... and cleaned it all up. thats unusual
7:00 Left for small groups thats 30 minutes away
9:30 put gavin to bed
10:00 did 2 loads of laundry
11:00 in bed

Now today.... Stayed in my pajamas all day and did meaningless things! Now my house is a disaster and I am guessing tomorrow may have to be productive again.

Little Dragon

Gavin was a dragon this year.. He loved it, he kept it on almost all night! The funniest thing was when he would try to go in the peoples houses when they would open the doors.. One lady asked if she could keep him... She gave him a quarter instead of candy!

Sweet Potato Soup

So its 11:30pm and I am getting ready to post a recipe that I cooked tonight for dinner, so you must see how good it is if I stay up this late to post it! No really I am just poor at managing my time, but it really is good soup!

2 Med Sweet Potatoes (peeled and diced)
1 med Onion (coarsely chopped)
4 cups vegetable broth
Place in saucepan and bring to boil, reduced heat and simmer for 25 minutes or until potatoes are soft. Place in batches in the blender and puree.
Place soup back in the saucepan and add 3/4 cup half and half ( add more for desired consistency)
add nutmeg, salt, pepper to taste!

Enjoy!

Does anyone have another good soup recipe to share?
